Friends, relatives bid tearful adieu to Jamshedpur youth Taranjit

Jamshedpur: Businessman Taranjit Singh alias Sami, who was killed by unknown assailants in the Philippines capital Manila on Sunday, was decorated like a groom and cremated. The Sikh community as well as people of Indian descent and local Filipino community attended the funeral of Taranjit. Like the groom, he was dressed in new clothes. Sehra was decorated on the head. Threads were tied on the wrist.The granthi Baba Ji of Antipaulo Gurdwara performed Ardas and recitation at home, cremation ground and Gurudwara. Those who attended the last Ardas. He also took langar in the Gurudwara. In his short span of four years, he had won the hearts of the local and Sikh community.
He showed up at the last visit today. When more than three hundred people including Swaran Singh, Jojo Singh, Fauji Singh, Johal Singh, KP Singh attended. Taranjit’s maternal uncle Kuldeep Singh said  that after the process was completed in 15 minutes, the ashes were given to him. It has been kept in Antipolo Gurudwara. As soon as the air service starts, the ashes will be immersed in Swarnrekha river.
