Jamshedpur: Ramarcha Puja at Saryu Roy’s residence on July 13, Prasad on July 14

Jamshedpur: Ramarcha Puja will be performed at MLA Saryu Roy’s residence on July 13 and consecrated food (Prasad) will be distributed the following day on July 14. The Jamshedpur East legislator has been performing Ramarcha Puja at his house since Jharkhand State was formed. The Puja is being organized since 2001.  He said that along with Lord Rama other deities including those who were allies of the Lord in overcoming Ravana, are worshipped on the occasion.

A meeting was organized by Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai at his Baridih office to discuss in detail the preparations for the upcoming Ramarcha Puja. “The holy month of Sawan commences on the second day of Ramarcha Puja so the day after Lord Shiva’s Rudrabhishek, Prasad is distributed among all,” Saryu stated.

Saryu Roy said apart from the past two years when COVID infections were at their peak, only Ramarcha Puja was organized at his home and Prasad was delivered at people’s homes. The East Jamshedpur MLA observed, “This year, due to the grace of the Almighty, community Prasad will be organized as it used to be since 2001 apart for the last two years due to prevalence of COVID-19.”
