Jamshedpur Public School students win laurels at national dance contest

Jamshedpur: The Dance group of Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) has once again displayed their talent and won accolades in the field of dance.

They participated in the National level competition conducted by Akhil Bharatiya Rangmanch NSCM Cultural Society at Dhanbad from 21st to 23rd December.

Sanchita Kumari bagged the first prize in Classical Category, Dipanshu Prasad bagged the first prize in the Modern Dance category and the group was also honoured with the Nritya Jyoti award for their excellent performance in Kathak dance.

The participants were Anushka Pathak Sanchita Kumari, Riti Singh, Shobhna Das, Anandita, Indaji, Ritika Singh, Dipti Mukhi, Anisha Kumari, Priya Dey, Shreya Kumari and Dipanshu Prasad.

The dance teacher Bharti Banerjee was honoured with ‘Nritya Acharya Ratna’ award. The group has been selected for the International Mahotsav to be conducted in Thailand in the last week of March.
