Jamshedpur, July 6: Power-lifters Abhishek Prateek and Kunal Ghosh, who won gold and silver medals in power lifting competition, were honoured at Rana Power House Academy in Gamharia Durga Puja Ground in the august presence of Panchayat representatives of Gamharia Jagannathpur on Wednesday, July 6.
Social worker Amarnath Choubey, Jagannathpur village head Simran Samad, deputy head Rintu Devi, ward councilor (8) Rani Devi, Amarendra Kumar Singh, international power lifter Shyam Singh Rana, Bablu Kumar, Mohan Samar, SN Babu Msihra, Rajesh Gupta, Chandan Kumar Ghosh, Seema Ghosh, Amarendra Kumar Singh, Nisha Singh, Amit Singh and others were present.
It is worth mentioning that Abhishek Prateek won two gold medals in the senior and junior categories in 59 kg event of Power Lifting Championship held under the aegis of Indian Power Lifting Federation in Kanpur from June 20-22. Meanwhile Kunal bagged the Strong Man title in the sub-junior category of full power lifting in 59 kg event. He also won one gold and one silver medal.
