Jamshedpur, June 19: The inauguration of the portable health care unit, prepared in a hurry in the year 2021 during the Corona period in the MGM hospital premises, could not be inaugurated yet, but now it is being removed.

The work of removing the portable health unit has also started.

Incidentally, in view of the increasing number of patients during the Covid period, a portable health care unit was constructed in the hospital premises. The 100-bed portable health care unit was constructed at a cost of over Rs 50 lakh and was claimed to be air-conditioned and oxygen-rich. But this health unit, prepared with the funds of the American Indian Foundation, also had an explosion later, due to which a part of it was demolished.

But since its establishment, not a single patient has been treated in this health unit, nor has any patient been kept in it till date. It was claimed about the health unit that Covid patients would be treated in it, but this unit has never been used till date.

After so many years it has been decided to remove it and the work to remove the health unit has also started, but no one can tell what will happen to the money spent in making it. People demand that the whole matter should be investigated as to whose decision it was to set up this unit and who were behind the wastage of so much money, action should be taken against them.
