Jamshedpur, Oct 10: The body of a policeman, identified as Ram Vilas Paswan, was recovered on Sunday from a well in the Police Control Room complex in East Singhbhum district.
He was originally a resident of Odiya village of Mufassil police station area of Hazaribagh district. The police are investigating the incident. It is feared that due to slipping of his feet, he fell into the well or he may have committed suicide. The body has been sent by the police for post-mortem.
The jawan was deputed at the police control room. The policemen said that they had gone to take bath in the well on Sunday morning and saw a dead body in the water. The body was taken out on the orders of a senior officer. Seeing the dead body, it seems that the dead body is one day old. The body had swelled up due to being in the water.
Ram Vilas Paswan lived alone in the residential premises of the Police Control Room. Inspector Rajesh Kumar Singh of Sakchi police station reached the spot and started investigation.
