Jamshedpur, Oct 10: Jamshedpur reported 3 fresh Covid-19 cases on Sunday, October 10, taking the total active cases to 36.
Of the three new cases 2 are from Mango and 1 from Kadma.
On the other hand, 3 patients recovered from the virus in East Singhbhum district on Sunday.
The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 51938.
Sudden rise in Covid-19 cases have brought the administration on its toes.
3 people recovered of the virus on Sunday taking the total recovery to 50844 which accounts for a recovery rate of 97.90% while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 36.
Of the 36 patients still undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in the district, most are in home isolation, while some are being treated at care centres and hospitals.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 617363 tests per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.90% while the mortality rate is 2.04 %.
Total of 3980 samples were tested on Sunday including 1258 RT-PCR, 7 TrueNat and 2715 RAT.
So far in Jamshedpur 1655682 samples have been collected out of which 1643421 have been tested and 1591483 have turned out to be negative.
The district administration has asked all authorities to focus on adopting extra preparedness measures during Durga Puja and to ensure that the COVID protocol is in place in all shops and establishments and markets where people are likely to congregate.
With the threat of a third wave of COVID-19 looming large and sudden increase in cases, the department has focussed on conducting more tests and spreading awareness.
The Government has ordered limited gathering and closed doors rituals during Durga Puja and there would be no distribution of Bhog or fairs would be organised.
