Jamshedpur: Covid-19 reduced to single digit again with 6 new cases

Jamshedpur, July 11: The positive case count in Jamshedpur has been reduced to single digit again. The number of active cases has also reduced. Jamshedpur reported six positive cases on Sunday. Zero death was recorded on July 11. 

City had been registering double digit cases since last week but infections plummet to single digit again on Sunday. The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 51687.

12 people recovered of the virus on Sunday taking the total recovery to 50564 while total active cases in Jamshedpur have come down to 69.

Of the 69 patients still undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in the district, most are in home isolation, while some are being treated at care centres and hospitals. 

Of the 6 new cases, 1 each are from Bagbera, Musabani, Ghatsila, Baharagora, Telco and Sakchi.

As many as 12 people recovered from the virus on Sunday taking the overall recoveries to 50564 which accounts for a recovery rate of 97.84%.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 422206 tests per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.84% while the mortality rate is 2.04 %.

With 6 new Covid-19 cases, Jamshedpur’s positivity rate on Sunday remained below 1%, as the city stayed on the recovery path after a brutal wave of infections between April and May. The positivity rate stood at 0.17% on Sunday.

More than 3400 were tested on the day. Data from the state government’s daily health bulletin showed that the Covid-19 test positivity is 0.17%. The state, too, witnessed a massive fall in infections and fatalities.

The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Jamshedpur is around 0.17 per cent after East Singhbhum conducted over 3400 tests in the last 24 hours. 

The Steel City tested 3429 samples, of which, 6 turned out positive while 12 people recovered from the Covid-19. The continuous high numbers of tests have pushed the positivity rate further down to 0.17 per cent, the government data showed.

So far in Jamshedpur 1139765 samples have been collected out of which 1123913 have been tested and 1072226 have turned out to be negative.
