Jamshedpur police nab robbery accused within half-an-hour

Jamshedpur, August 26: Jamshedpur rural police arrested all the accused within half an hour of the robbery in a liquor shop.

The arrested accused included Jitendra Kumar Sah, a resident of Bagbera Naya Basti, Anwar Khan, a resident of Kitadih, Roshan Singh, a resident of Gadra Panchayat Bhawan, Shyamal Munda, a resident of Potka Khadiasai and Loknath Thakur, a resident of Telco Plaza More.

Police have recovered two country-made pistols, four live cartridges, a liquor crate and looted amount of Rs 11,705 looted and the car used in the incident from the accused.

Giving information about the incident, Rural SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat said that last night at 9.45 pm, car-borne criminals had carried out the robbery in the government liquor shop of Sangram under Potka police station area. On receiving the information, the police immediately cordoned off the area and started anti-crime checking. During checking, the car was seen near Haldipokhar. The car driver started running after seeing the police, when the police chased the car and caught him. Weapons and looted items were recovered from the car during the search.

Rural SP said that the criminals told that many incidents have been carried out by them in rural and urban areas. In the past, apart from the theft in Sakchi police station area, they also shot a young man near Jadugoda Rankani temple. Apart from this, a person was also robbed of a bike from Jadugoda by showing fear of weapons.

 At the same time, they had also carried out the robbery incident in Telco. He told that the car used in the incident is in the name of Anwar’s brother Sheikh Iqbal. Shyamal did Reiki in the incident. At the same time, Loknath of Telco had provided the weapon.

Shyamal has gone to jail in the murder case and they had developed friendship in jail and started committing such crimes once out of jail.
