Jamshedpur, May 28: In the wake of a shooting and murder incident at a beer bar in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, the Jamshedpur Police have swiftly taken action. Under the directives of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of the district, stringent instructions have been issued to prominent hotel, restaurant, and bar owners. They are mandated to install CCTV cameras within their premises and conduct thorough security checks on individuals before allowing entry into the bars. Any individual found carrying weapons inside the bars will face severe consequences, with the bar owners held accountable.
The City Criminal Investigation Department (CCR CID) Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) highlighted the implementation of special guidelines across the entire city, focusing particularly on bars. The district police are diligently working to prevent incidents akin to the one witnessed in Ranchi from occurring in Jamshedpur. A comprehensive meeting with bar owners is scheduled, where various strategies will be discussed to mitigate the risk of criminal activities within the city. Additionally, heightened patrolling has been initiated throughout the city, with instructions issued to maintain vigilant surveillance on bars and their surroundings
