Jamshedpur police get 100 first-aid kits, stretchers from CII Yi

Jamshedpur, March 28: Hundred first aid kits and 10 stretchers were provided to the East Singhbhum Police by the CII Yi (Young Indian) here on Tuesday. Thanking the CII and Young India team, Jamshedpur SSP Prabhat Kumar said he had demanded the first aid kits and stretchers from the CII Yi in view of the increasing number of road accidents and related fatalities in the city and surrounding areas, which was accepted by the CII Yi. seriously.
The SSP said he had also appealed to Tata Steel Foundation for such cooperation. He said that the first aid kits will be kept in traffic and highway patrolling vehicles. The kits would be kept in traffic patrol vehicles in accident zones. Stretchers will be given to highway patrol teams and would also be kept in patrol vehicles in accident zones, so that they may be used in emergency.
The SSP said that most of the accidents are happening due to rough driving and violation of traffic rules by the youth. The death toll in road accidents is also very worrying. Many youths are becoming victims of road accidents, he said while urging people to strictly follow the traffic rules.

Mansi Aggarwal of the Young Indians team was present on the spot. She said that many people lose their lives in road accidents as they do not get timely treatment. Today the first-aid kits have been handed over to the district police to prevent such deaths. She said her team will also give tips to avoid road accidents to children of classes 1 to 8 so that whenever they go out with their relatives and witness violation of traffic rules, they ask their relatives to improve their risky behaviour.

Apart from Jamshedpur SSP Prabhat Kumar, Traffic DSP Kamal Kishore, Bistupur police station in-charge Anjani Kumar and many officials of Jamshedpur police were present in the ceremony. Mansi Aggarwal, Akash Anand, Mridul Goyal, Umang Aggarwal, Ankit Countia, Rashmi Countia, Bhavin Gandhi, Umang Ranpara, Barkha Kedia, Nidhi Aggarwal, Bijal Mehta and Neha Aggarwal were present on this occasion.
