Jamshedpur Police garland helmetless riders, Nukkad Natak on traffic norms

Jamshedpur, March 17: A traffic awareness campaign was conducted near the Tatanagar railway station during which, a Nukkad Natak (street corner play) was presented. The theme related to awareness of traffic norms and that not following traffic rules could lead to major road accidents including some fatal mishaps.

A large number of passersby stopped to watch the Nukkad Natak and realizing the importance of following traffic rules, took a pledge on the spot before Traffic police station In-charge (Jugsalai) Sangita Kumari, RPF Station In-charge Sanjay Kumar Tiwari, State General Secretary of Anti Corruption Foundation of World, Panchayat Samiti member Sunil Gupta, that all rules related to traffic would be followed. 

Led by Traffic PS In-charge, Sangita Kumari, helmetless riders were garlanded but, at the same time warned that not obeying traffic rules would result in fines.

A quiz on traffic rules was organized and the winners were presented helmets. RPF station In-charge Vijay Kumar Tiwari and District Road Safety Manager Prakash Kumar Giri provided several tips on traffic rules and road safety measures.  Those who addressed the gathering included Sangita Kumari, in-charge Traffic Jugsalai Police Station, RPF Station In-charge Vijay Kumar Tiwari, District Road Safety Manager Prakash Kumar Giri, State General Secretary of Anti Corruption Foundation of World Shashi Acharya, Panchayat Samiti members Sunil Gupta, Md Naseem and Md Amjad.
