Jamshedpur, March 29 : Police have intensified their probe into a chopper attack incident under the Telco police station, in which a young man was seriously injured. The statement of the victim, Adarsh Singh currently undergoing treatment at Tata Main Hospital (TMH), has been recorded.
Based on his statement, police have detained a young woman and begun questioning her. Earlier, two accused in the case had already been arrested and sent to jail, while the main accused, Ayan, remains on the run.
According to Adarsh, on the day of the incident, Ayan and his female friend called him via conference call to a spot near the Theme Park, assuring him that they wanted to resolve an ongoing dispute. Trusting them, he reached the location with two of his friends. However, he found the situation suspicious as several other young men were present along with Ayan and the woman.
Sensing danger, Adarsh kept his distance. Shortly after, Ayan returned with an accomplice and, before any discussion could begin, attacked him from behind with a chopper, repeatedly striking his neck. Adarsh collapsed on the spot, and the attackers fled.
He further stated that the detained woman was once his close friend but had recently come into contact with Ayan. After he informed her father about their relationship, he began receiving death threats. Police are currently conducting raids to arrest the absconding accused
