Jamshedpur police crack loot and murder case, five members of inter-state gang arrested

Jamshedpur: Police cracked the loot and murder case registered with Telco thana on August 30 by arresting five members of an inter-state gang involved in the case.

The police  seized a truck belonging to one of the arrested person, a country-made pistol, a blood-stained knife and clothes from their possession .

Those arrested were identified as Dinesh Singh alias Sudhir Yadav (27), Anuj Kumar Yadav alias Rahul (20), Jaisen Yadav (19), Randhir Chaudhury (29) and Gautam Yadav (20), all residents of Arwal district of Bihar.

Senior superintendent of police, Anoop Birtharay said that two of the accused Sudhir and Rahul were  wanted in a robbery case in Bihar and had fled to Jamshedpur some six months ago. He said that it is a major breakthrough.

“Sudhir who owns a truck and Rahul started living at Mukhiadanga along the NH-33 near in rented house.  Rahul used to work as a cleaner in Sudhir’s truck.  Both came close with Krishna Yadav and his brother Vijay and had brought in three more associates from Bihar a fortnight ago.   At about 2 am that night, Sudhir and four of his associates came to the cabin of Vijay’s truck which was parked at Jemco Chowk in Telco and demanded him to hand over the truck’s key.  As Vijay (25) refused Sudhir tried to take the key forcibly, Krishna came into the rescue of his younger brother and tried to prevent Sudhir from snatching the key.  Instantly, Sudhir took out pistol and fired a shot in Krishna’s chest.  As second shot targetted at Vijay misfired, Sudhir took out a knife and injured Vijay.  Having killed Krishna (32) and injuring Vijay, Sudhir asked Rahul to drive away the truck and he (Sudhir) himself got into his own truck,” said  Birtharay while addressing the media this evening.

The senior SP said, Rahul drove the truck from Jemco upto L-town gate in Sakchi – about 12 kms – but incidentally a biker came in front of the truck, causing Rahul to stop the vehicle. The biker who escaped with minor injury saw a bleeding man was sitting in the cabin and incidentally Vijay somehow managed to gather guts and kicked Rahul away from the driving seat.  Then only the biker informed the police, leading a police party to reach the spot.

By the time the police party arrived at the spot, Rahul and three of his associates had fled the spot.
