Jamshedpur, Nov 3: The Bagbera Colony Panchayat’s Deputy Head and Ward members have put in a written complaint to the BDO alleging that the Bagbera Colony Panchayat’s Head, Rajkumar Gaud, had been misappropriating various sanctioned project funds by diverting them for personal use. On Friday, a delegation submitted a formal complaint to the BDO. The complaint alleged that the Panchayat funds were being misused in an arbitrary manner by the Panchayat Head. The also alleged that Ward members who raise objections were threatened.

The written complaint further noted that projects were implemented without convening a Gram Sabha, and the Panchayat Head conducted executive meetings with select members only without informing the ward members. Ward members who called their own meetings were boycotted, and they faced shoddy behavior from the Panchayat Head.

When Ward members sought financial information, they were reportedly driven away from the Panchayat office, and faced threats of being falsely implicated in cases. The Panchayat Head allegedly misused funds allocated for the roster, diverting them for personal purposes and spreading misleading information on social media.

In light of these allegations, Deputy Head Santosh Kumar Thakur, Ward Members Seema Pandey, Umesh Kumar, and others demanded swift action by the BDO against the allegations.
