Seraikela, May 10: The court of Principal District and Sessions Judge Vijay Kumar sentenced one Subhash Chawde to rigorous life imprisonment in connection with the murder of Panchu Gopal Mandal of Adityapur here on Tuesday. It also imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on him.
The case dates back to 13th October 2015 when police had recovered the body of Panchu Gopal from a flat at MP Moti Apartment, Adityapur. Govinda Mandal, younger brother of the deceased, found the body in the flat and informed police. He had told police some unidentified person had killed his brother. He went to the flat on being called by Panchu in Adityapur to take some money. During investigation, cops found the involvement of Subhash Chawde in the crime.
