Jamshedpur, June 21: The 37th Jharkhand Battalion NCC, Jamshedpur, celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm on Sunday. Under the guidance of Commanding Officer Colonel Vinay Ahuja, around 650 NCC cadets and 25 Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) from 26 schools and colleges participated in yoga sessions held at three different centres.
The main programme was organised at St. Mary’s English School, where nearly 450 cadets took part in the mass yoga practice. Speaking on the occasion, Battalion Administrative Officer Colonel Prem Chand Jha said the objective of the event was to create awareness among cadets about the importance of physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle through yoga.
Apart from Jamshedpur, mass yoga camps for NCC cadets were also conducted in Ghatsila and Chaibasa as part of the International Yoga Day celebrations.
