Jamshedpur, May 14: National Lok Adalat was organized at Civil Court, Jamshedpur, on Saturday. A total of 13 benches disposed 27,129 pending cases today. Revenue worth Rs 24.69 crore was collected in settlement of the cases. This is the second National Lok Adalat organized this year. It was held earlier on 12th March last.
The Lok Adalat was inaugurated by the Principal District and Sessions Judge Anil Kumar Mishra who lit the ceremonial lamp. He said Lok Adalat was being held simultaneously across the nation. A total of 38,525 cases were listed at the National Lok Adalat, out of which 27,129 were disposed today, he said.

DLSA sources said a total of 27,285 pre-litigation cases were brought to the Lok Adalat today, out of which 18,698 cases were disposed. A sum of Rs 20.13 crore was received in settlement.
DLSA officials further said the cases disposed today were related to electricity, water, family dispute, motor accident claim, insurance claim, cheque dishonour, labour dispute, forest dispute, excise department, revenue, Police Act, certificate cases, Section 107 and Section 144 of CRPC.
