Jamshedpur,Aug 16:As part of Aazadi ka Amrit Utsav celebration, social organisation Naman took out a grand Tiranga Yatra on Monday. The event started with a flag hoisting at Naman’s office. Local MLA Saryu Roy hoisted the flag. A grand procession was taken out with members carrying 500 meters long tricolor, which was the main attraction of the programme.

The one kilometer long journey from Naman Office to Kashidih Chowk via Manokamna Mandir, reached Shaheed Chowk (Basant Talkies) back to Naman Office. A large number of women participated in the yatra.

On the occasion, Roy said that this is the day when India got freedom from British rule after a long struggle. Today we countrymen are able to celebrate this anniversary of independence because countless sons and heroes of this earth watered freedom with their blood, they laid down their lives for the motherland. We need a holistic and integrated thinking for the bright future of the new generation of the country.

On this occasion, Naman founder Amarpreet Singh Kale said that this year’s Independence Day is special for us Indians in many ways. The “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” is being celebrated on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with the Government of India has also started the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to fill the spirit of energy and unity in the hearts of the people. For this, almost all the countrymen hoisted the tricolor at their homes from August 13 to August 15. On this day, the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country in the freedom struggle are remembered. However, for the last two years, large-scale programmes could not be organized due to the coronavirus. But this time the celebration of independence is being seen everywhere. Kale insisted that we each have to be in the role of a vigilant watchdog so that Maa Bharati can be saved from the nefarious intentions of the enemies.
