Jamshedpur MP convenes meeting of monitoring committee, focus on rural electrification

Jamshedpur, Oct 27: Under the chairmanship of MP Bidhyut Baran Mahato, the meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee  was held in the district auditorium today. 
Presiding over the meeting, first of all, MP welcomed all the representatives and office bearers who had come and underlined the importance of this meeting. 
In the meeting, the compliance report of the last meeting was first considered. 
During the meeting, matters related to all the departments came one by one and after. It was ordered to electrify all government schools, panchayat buildings, community buildings, Anganwadi centers, sub-health centers in the district. On this, it was instructed to the officers of the department that the list of the remaining buildings is to be prepared and completed in 15 days. In the meeting, all the public representatives raised the problem due to faulty / burnt transformer in the electricity department.
 It was decided that the repairing capacity of TRW located at Jamshedpur, which is three to four per day, has to be increased to at least 10 and for this all resources and manpower would be made available. In the meeting, the MP raised the issue of bamboo poles in Turiyabeda, Mukhiadanga and Baliguma. On this, the Executive Engineer said that 18 poles have been received while 72 poles are needed there. This will also be resolved as soon as possible. In the meeting, Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar said that there are some villages of Dumaria where no electrification has taken place and in that village also the electricity bill is being given to the villagers in a wrong way. Raised the issue of electrification of the school and the issue of underground cable in Mahanand Basti.
It was also decided that an additional TRW center would be set up at Ghatshila and from there transformer repair of that area would be done. In the meeting, the public representatives expressed strong objection to the fact that money is being collected from the local public for the transportation of transformers. A strict decision was taken on this that its transportation would be done only by the vehicles of the department and no recovery of any kind would be made from any public.
 On this, the General Manager of Electricity said that he would get this work done as soon as possible. Regarding the construction work of Ghatshila’s Kasida, Dampara, Ghatshila Town and Galudih power stations, it was informed that the power substations of Kasida, Dampara and Ghatshila Town will be completed by December 2021, while the work of Galudih Electricity Substation will be allotted to new agency. 
 Regarding road construction, it has been decided that assembly wise list of roads which have not been repaired in the last 10 years will be prepared and their repair will be recommended to the state government. And as the quality of its repair was not good, it was decided to investigate it.
 Regarding the construction and repair of roads in Bagbera, Ghagidih, Kitadih etc. by the Electricity and Drinking Water Department, the Executive Engineers of both the departments were instructed to get this work done as soon as possible.Regarding the link road from Ghorabandha to Dhanchatani, the Executive Engineer of the Road Construction Department said that its approval has been received. In the meeting, it was decided to send a proposal for the widening of 10 culverts located on Dumaria Kovali road so that the accident on this route can be stopped. In relation to Jugsalai railway overbridge, the committee was assured that this work should be completed by March. will be taken. Under health, it was decided to send the proposal to the state government regarding the land donor not getting employment as per the earlier decision in Patmada’s Macha Hospital.
The Executive Engineer of the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation informed the committee that now the rains have ended, so the work of the Bagbera water supply scheme will be started expeditiously.
While reviewing the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, it was told in relation to Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Baharagora that the problem of water has been solved by deep boring there.
