Jamshedpur MP Bidyut meets Union energy minister over power situation

Jamshedpur, Dec 16: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto met Union Minister for Power and Renewable Energy RK Singh in New Delhi today. During this, he made a demand regarding supply of electricity through DVC in Adityapur industrial area of neighboring Seraikela Kharsawan and East Singhbhum.

He told the Union Minister that due to lack of proper power supply, industries are migrating from the district. Many industries located in Jadugoda area of East Singhbhum have moved to Giridih due to lack of proper power supply. Due to this the pace of industrialization in the area has slowed down and employment opportunities have decreased.

Apart from this, the MP also urged for setting up of solar power plant in East Singhbhum district. He said that there is a dire need of better power supply in many places especially in rural areas, but due to lack of proper supply it is not happening. Through his memorandum submitted, he demanded from them that there are huge plots available in Chakulia area. Solar power plant can be installed there. This will improve the power supply system in remote rural areas, which will be of great convenience to the students as well as farmers and laborers. Energy Minister RK Singh said that they will seriously consider their demands and will take appropriate decision after exploring all the possibilities.
