Jamshedpur MLA Saryu wants Rs 3.62 Cr to be realised from Raghubar Das

Jamshedpur, June 26: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy has written to the Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren informing that the then state government had to pay Rs 3.62 crore after removal of the consultancy firm ORG Private Limited entrusted to make DPR of the Randhi Sewerage and Drainage project and appointment of Meinhart for the same thing in an illegal manner by the then urban development minister and former chief minister Raghubar Das and the same amount should be realised from him.

Saryu Roy claimed that the statement issued by Raghubar Das is a lie that the consultancy firm appointed was rejected by the urban development department as it was incapable and in its place Meinhart was appointed and cited the Ranchi High Court appointment as retired chief justice Justice U. P Singh as arbitrator to look into the case and the arbitrator had in its decision stated that the decision to remove ORG Private Limited by Raghubar Das was wrong. This instance has also been mentioned in the book written by Saryu Roy about the decision of arbitrator appointed by High Court on May 2012 and the urban development department had to pay Rs 3.62 crore to the private consultancy firm.
The MLA states that instead of apologising for his mistake the former chief minister is telling white lies with factually wrong statements. The present state government should realise the amount from the former chief minister by issuing a notice as it had not only damaged image of Jharkhand but also caused financial loss to the state exchequer.
