Jamshedpur, August 11: Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy has called upon people to study, understand, and put to practice the teachings of the Vedas to preserve and strengthen Sanatan Dharma. He emphasized that the traditions of India’s sages should be nurtured and passed on to future generations.
Roy was speaking at the inauguration of a shed built by the Urban Development Department for Veda Study and Practice on the banks of the Swarnarekha River in Sakchi. The center will be managed by the Dharmarakshini Purohitya Mahasangh, whose members will guide and initiate visitors into Vedic learning.
Highlighting the importance of Vedic knowledge, Roy said it was necessary not only to inform people about what was written in the Vedas but also to explain and interpret it. “We must speak about our culture and Sanatan Dharma, and use this center to spread awareness. The more people learn about our traditions, the stronger our religion will be,” he said.
He assured that any systematic deficiencies in the functioning of the center would be addressed and pledged his full cooperation to ensure proper study and research of the Vedas. “This is a sacred task. The more we make it flourish, the better it will be for society,” he added.
The event was attended by Dharmarakshini Purohitya Mahasangh President Bipin Jha, Secretary Umesh Kumar Tiwari, Treasurer Sudhir Jha, along with Vivek Pandey, Raghavendra Pratap Singh alias Jhunna, Dharmendra Prasad, Satyendra Pandey, Raj Singh, and several others.
