Jamshedpur MLA Saryu peeved at Moharda drinking water project delay

Jamshedpur, July 11 : Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy has expressed displeasure over delay in implementation of phase-2 work of Moharda drinking water supply project.

The project is lying in cold storage even after two months when it was  decided to work on the said project. But so far consultant is yet to be appointment.

Saryu Roy wrote a letter to the secretary of the urban development department and apprised him about the whole matter and requested to appoint a consultant soon. Earlier, the MLA spoke to the project director of JUDCO (Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation) in this regard.

In the meeting held on May this year it was agreed to work on eight points including Moharda water supply. But till now except one or two points, all the matters are lying in cold storage. The MLA said that in this matter the special officer of JNAC has assured him that on July 12 at 11 am, Tata Steel will hold talks with UISL officials and ensure further action.
