Jamshedpur. Miscreants created a ruckus in Sonari on Saturday night. About six shops were also burnt in the incident. Two fire tenders reached the spot and brought the fire under control after a struggle of about two hours. On Sunday afternoon, a fire broke out in a house in Kadma Bhatia Basti area. Goods worth lakhs were burnt in it.
On Saturday night, mischievous elements set fire to six shops near Sonari Airport. All the shops were completely burnt to ashes. Four clothes, one footwear and one handi shop were burnt. The shopkeepers have lost lakhs. The fire has also engulfed a car. After getting the information, the police team along with the fire department reached the spot.
The shopkeepers have demanded action against the miscreants. A written complaint has also been made by the shopkeepers in the police station. In this incident, the sandal-shoe shop of Aruna Devi, the clothes shop of Rakesh Sahu, the clothes shop of Lalan Rajak, the clothes shop of Gopal Mahato, the handi shop of Kamal Prajapati and the clothes shop of Mahendra Prajapati have been burnt.
Sonari police station in-charge Anjani Kumar said that there was information about fire in shops. The fire brigade extinguished the fire in the shops. The matter is under investigation. In the second incident, a fire broke out in a house in Kadma Magadha Path Bhatia Basti on Sunday morning. After this the local people informed the fire department about the matter. It was said that goods worth lakhs kept inside the house were burnt in the incident. The family is not in a position to tell anything clearly about the incident.
