Jamshedpur: Rs 7000 looted at gunpoint from Mango shop

Jamshedpur, Dec 7: Three unidentified criminals reportedly looted cash worth Rs 7000 from one Rakesh Gupta, proprietor of Reet Traders on National Highway 33 at Mango yesterday evening.

Sources said the incident took place around 6.40 pm when Gupta was sitting in his shop. Two men came to his shop and demanded cash by flaunting a gun and abusing him. When Gupta resisted, the two threatened to shoot him and forcibly took out cash kept at the cash counter before decamping. A third man waited with a bike at some distance. The three reportedly escaped towards Dimna Chowk, Gupta told cops.

The victim, who deals in building materials, later informed the police control room about the loot and went to Olidih police station to lodge complaint.
