Jamshedpur MGM Hospital shifting delayed due to pending NOCs

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur: The much-anticipated shift of MGM Hospital to its new building in Dimna has been delayed as the hospital awaits the necessary NOCs (No Objection Certificates) for fire safety and pollution clearance. The new facility is ready, but the hospital cannot move patients until these clearances are obtained from the concerned departments.

“The Principal Secretary has given instructions to shift the hospital, but the NOCs from fire and pollution departments are pending,” explained an MGM official. The hospital has already submitted applications to the relevant departments for these crucial certifications.

Additionally, the hospital will need to install D-type cylinders for centralized oxygen in the new building temporarily. “Once the NOCs are secured, we will begin the patient transfer process and will subsequently shift the centralized oxygen tank from Sakchi to Dimna,” an official stated.

A meeting is scheduled between MGM’s leadership, the district administration, and other involved parties to discuss the issues hindering the shift. The district administration has assured support for any necessary arrangements. “We will ensure all required resources are made available for a smooth transition,” a district official confirmed.
