The Additional Chief Electoral Officer Jaydeep Tigga, Director NEEP Jyotsna Singh, SDPO-Sub-District Magistrate Dipu Kumar, SDO Ghatsila Satyavir Rajak, Assistant Electoral Officer Priyanka Singh and other officials directed concerned personnel to conduct extensive outreach campaigns during the voter list revision program and reach every voter in the 10 booths of all six Assembly constituencies where voter turnout was the lowest in the district during the previous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

All personnel concerned were urged to ensure error-free and clear voter lists by verifying the physical presence of every voter during the voter list special revision program be it in removing the names of deceased or relocated voters or adding new voters. All BLOs were given clear instructions to ensure that not a single eligible voter was left out of the voter list.
In a separate meeting with the principals of private schools and colleges, it was informed that young students who had completed 17 years and would turn 18 years on 1st January, 1st April, 1st July or 1st October, 2024, would be eligible to fill Form-6.
Under the Special Summary Revision of the Voter List-2024, various tasks related to adding, removing, correcting names/addresses, updating photos of voters and handling deceased/relocated voters were being carried out. All principals were urged to register 100% young voters in the voter list. They were informed that to add names, they needed to fill Form-6 through the BLOs. For removing names, Form-7 was to be used and Form-6A could be used for adding names of NRI voters. For any modifications, applicants were to use Form-8. Voters can also apply online through the Voter Helpline app. The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store or submitted online on the Election Commission’s website voters.eci.gov.in. For any election-related information, voters may call the toll-free number 1950.
