Jamshedpur: Meeting held to revitalize district’s Kho-Kho scene

Jamshedpur, August 18:  An important meeting of the East Singhbhum District Kho-Kho Association was convened at the New Baradwari club in Jamshedpur. The meeting, presided over by Victor Vijay Samad, the Association’s Secretary, focused on revitalizing the district’s Kho-Kho scene.

Key decisions were made to expand the newly formed district Kho-Kho Association. Plans were discussed to distribute certificates to office bearers and executive members, recruit new members, and organize special training sessions and seminars for judges and trainers. Former players, sports enthusiasts, teachers, and trainers are encouraged to participate in these training camps, which will be held in Jamshedpur. The specific date and venue for the seminar will be announced in the next meeting and communicated via newspapers and phone calls.

The meeting also covered preparations for state-level competitions organized by the Jharkhand State Kho-Kho Association. The district team will be selected to compete in these events. Key figures in the meeting included Secretary Victor Vijay Samad, Treasurer Shyam Kumar Sharma, Technical Assistant M. Arshad, Technical Head Subol Chatterjee, and other notable members such as Dayal Singh Nehra, Ajay Mohanty, Ravi Ho, Gomia Sundi, and Anand Mahato, who played a significant role in the meeting’s success.
