Jamshedpur: A seven-day sports competition has begun in Mango, Jamshedpur, organized to commemorate Independence Day. The event, hosted by Man Welfare Mission and APJ Kalam High School, opened with a quiz competition focused on freedom fighters, engaging young children in the festivities.
The first day also featured an inter-basti football tournament, where the Aman XI team emerged victorious, while Sahara XI secured the runner-up position. Moin was named the player of the match. The winners were honored by Dr. Afroz Shakeel, social worker and secretary of the organizing committee.
The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Md Tahir Hussain, Shahid Akhtar, and Sonu, who were present to support the participants. The competition will continue throughout the week, featuring various sporting events and activities.
