Jamshedpur: Meeting held to comply with restoring parking and closing commercial activity in basements of buildings

Jamshedpur, May 10: Under the chairmanship of Sanjay Kumar, Special Officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, a meeting was held to comply with the order of the Hon’ble High Court of Jharkhand related to restoring parking and closing commercial activity conducted in the basements of buildings marked as per the list.

During the meeting, the special officer directed strict action against all the buildings that do not conform to the guidelines by serving notice to the building owners within one week by the team formed in all those places. The work of restoring the time-bound parking pattern should be done in all buildings in which commercial activity was being conducted until now, and teams should go to different areas and keep checking them and establish coordination for making parking.

In case any building owner does not restore the parking, a request has been made through a letter to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Dhalbhum, to depute a Magistrate and direct him to take necessary action. If business activity is still conducted by the owners of the building, then after the given time period, instructions have been given to evacuate the basement of such a building and to demolish the structure, if any, by deputing the magistrate and the police force.

All team members must ensure that photographs must be taken with the owners of the buildings or the shopkeepers operating in the said buildings for which the notice has been served, so that it can be easier to work in the future. The Special Officer said that often during his investigation, he also found that there are some building owners who were not taking notice, and the employee working there was instructed not to share any information related to the building owner, Jamshedpur. Therefore, it is the responsibility of all the team members to make sure to take clean photographs by pasting the notice on the wall while giving notice to the building owner of the concerned building or the shopkeepers operating in the said place. In the meeting, Special Officer, Santoshni Murmu, City Manager, Ravi Bharti, Sonal Singh Chauhan, Joy Gudiya, Anay Raj, Christina Kashyap, Assistant Engineer Sanjay Kumar, Amit Anand, Ajay Yadav, Mahesh Prabhakar, Junior engineers Nitesh Kumar, Santosh Kumar, Manas Satpati, in-charge tax inspector MKL Das, regional revenue personnel Prakash Bhagat, Vinod Tiwari, Dilip Barik, Ganesh Ram, and Krishna Ram were present.
