Jamshedpur: Matric and Inter exams from Feb 6, 41,753 students to appear

Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is set to conduct the 10th and 12th board examinations across 106 examination centers in the district from February 6 to February 26. This significant academic event will see the participation of 21,022 candidates for the 10th board examination and 20,731 candidates for the 12th board examination from East Singhbhum.

The 10th board exams are scheduled to take place at 73 centers, while the 12th board exams will be conducted at 33 centers, ensuring a comprehensive and organised examination process. The total number of students appearing for the examinations stands at an impressive 41,753, emphasizing the scale and importance of these board exams for the academic future of the district’s youth.

The JAC has diligently prepared and arranged for the smooth functioning of the examinations, with a focus on maintaining a secure and conducive environment for all candidates. The council encourages all candidates to approach the exams stress-free, maintaining confidence in their preparations. District education department is geared up for matric and intermediate board exams with stringent measures: Flying squads will be actively monitoring the examination centers, with CCTV cameras installed at each location to deter any malpractice. The use of cell phones and hi-tech digital watches by students is strictly prohibited within the examination rooms. Invigilators and teachers on exam duty are also barred from carrying mobile phones.

Centre superintendents have been directed to ensure arrangements for electricity at exam points in the event of power cuts. Section 144 and Inspection: Section 144 will be applicable within a 100-meter radius of all centers. District officials will personally inspect the centers to ensure compliance and proper conduct. Examinees will undergo frisking at entry points, and cell phones will not be allowed inside the exam halls.

An increased number of centers aim to provide students with a conducive environment, reducing the risk of malpractices associated with crowded classrooms.

The district administration has deputed static magistrates at each examination center, with an additional 18 zonal magistrates overseeing the smooth conduct of the exams. A team of five to six magistrates will patrol the centers for surprise checks, ensuring foolproof security arrangements.

Officials expressed confidence in the preparations and measures taken, emphasizing the commitment to facilitating a secure and fair examination environment. The implementation of these strict guidelines reflects the district’s dedication to upholding the sanctity of the examination process and ensuring a level playing field for all students.
