Seraikela, Sep 10: A plot to target security forces was foiled after recovery of 50 can bombs planted by the banned CPI (Maoists) at Seraikela Kharsawan. The police succeeded in recovering about 50 can bombs laid in series from two unpaved mountain paths under Dalbhanga OP area of Kuchai police station.
Superintendent of Police Anand Prakash said they got a tip off that Ramesh alias Anal Da Squad of CPI Maoist with the aim of causing loss of life and property to the security forces on unpaved hill road going to Nimdih, Panduburu and Dodarda under Darbhanga OP area of Kuchai police station.
District Police under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Purushottam Kumar and 21 C Neeraj Singh Rathore of CRPF 157 Battalion for verification of information and further action, F/157 and A/157 Battalions of CRPF, AG-07 of Jharkhand Jaguar conducted a joint special operation .

The security forces involved in the operation carefully recovered about 25 can bombs with command mechanism of 3 to 5 kg each, laid in series along the forested unpaved mountain road going from Neemdih-Panduburu to Kudathu. In the same sequence, during the operation conducted on Friday also, about 25 can bombs of 2 to 3 kg each of pressure mechanism laid in series were recovered from Rugudih to Dodarda on the forested unpaved mountain road.
The Superintendent of Police said that the said bombs were planted by Anal da’s squad with the aim of causing huge loss of life and property to the security forces and villagers.
