Jamshedpur man loses Rs 2.57 lakh to cyber frauds

Jamshedpur, March 30: These days cyber frauds are cheating people by adopting different tricks. These thugs are now cheating people in the name of providing online part time jobs. The latest case is from Parsudih where one Tapas Kumar Das, a resident of Parsudih Maa Durga Apartment, reportedly lost Rs 2,57,480 after falling prey to cyber thugs. In this regard, Tapas has lodged an FIR in the cyber police station.
Tapas said the cyber police that he had received a job message on WhatsApp from the number 601163814339. The sender of the message asked him to follow three profiles on Instagram. After following the profile, an employee code was given to Das. Later Isabella Sharma and Tamrah Parker spoke to Das through the Telegram app. During this, 450 and 2724 rupees were given in the victim’s account.

The frauds demanded Rs 3000 from Das and said that he will get a hiked amount on his investment. By following the instruction, Tapas paid Rs 2,57,480 to the frauds through the said website mentioned by the thug several times. The company’s site was showing a total of Rs 3,88,369, but now that site has suddenly disappeared. Now the culprits are demanding a payment of Rs 1,84,000 to return his investment, police said.
