Jamshedpur man Imamuddin’s body recovered from Septic tank in Qatar

Jamshedpur, Sep 19: Qatar police recovered the body of Mohammad Imamuddin, a resident of Golmuri, who was brutally killed by a Pakistani national in Qatar. His body was recovered from the septic tank of his flat, sources said.

According to sources, the accused Pakistani national first strangulated Imamuddin and then slit his throat before putting his body in a sack and dumping it in the septic tank.

Police have arrested the accused who shared Imamuddin’s room on the basis of suspicion.

Sources said the last rites of the deceased would be held in Qatar as the local police have refused to give his body to his relatives in India.

Imamuddin’s elder brother resides in Jahur Bagan, Mango. Imamuddin was a crane operator in Tinplate Company. After taking VRS, he had joined a Qatar-based company.

Imamuddin’s wife Tarannum came to suspect her husband’s wellbeing after his phone calls stopped completely after 12th September last. She reached Qater with her two sons and lodged a police complaint to find her missing husband.

People hailing from Jamshedpur helped Imamuddin’s wife in Qatar. When police reached Imamuddin’s room, they found blood stains and foul smell emanating from the room. They interrogated the Pakistani national and found out that he had murdered Imamuddin. The circumstances that led to the homicide are yet to be known, sources said.
