Four arrested in brick kiln robbery case, kingpin absconding

Gamharia, Sept 19:   The police arrested four accused persons involved in the theft committed in Gopinathpur brick kiln on September 15. On interrogation by the Kandra police the four nabbed included Sonu Patro, Rohit Kumar Saw, Kartik Sahu and Mitanjan Swarnakar alias Milton admitted their involvement in the crime. A brick making machine was also stolen by the accused. However, the mastermind in the theft,  Rajesh Mandal was on the run and eluding the police dragnet.  Kandra PS OC Rajendra Prasad Mahto informed that based on the information received during interrogation, the police were on the hunt to nab the mastermind of the brick kiln robbery.

According to the Kandra PS OC, Rajendra Prasad Mahto, “Rajesh Mandal is the mastermind behind the robbery committed at the Gopinathpur brick kiln. We have nabbed four of the gang members who have confessed to the crime. Rajesh Mandal along with four of his associates had carried out the robbery.”

A Chhota Hathi vehicle (JH05 BZ/4183), four mobile phones and the stolen machine were recovered by the police. used in the said incident, four mobiles of the accused and the stolen brick making machine. The brick factory owner, Gopal Krishna Malviya lodged an FIR in the Kandra police station pertaining to the robbery.

The raiding team included  Kandra PS OC Rajendra Prasad Mahto, Rahul Singh, Rajeev Kumar, Kuber Prasad Chaudhary and Angad Pandey.
