Jamshedpur, Jan 30: A young man from Rupidanga in the MGM police station area tragically took his own life on Thursday afternoon. Ram Karmakar, 26, who worked as a putty worker, was found hanging in his home. His wife, Sonia Karmakar, shared that her husband had been under immense stress due to the mounting pressure of loans taken from five different banks. “He had borrowed a total of Rs. 2 lakh, and the burden of repayment was overwhelming for him,” she said. Sonia, who is pregnant and has two children, was not at home when the incident occurred. She went to a neighbor’s house, leaving her children playing outside. Upon her return, she found that Ram had locked the door and was unresponsive. Neighbors helped break open the door, only to find him hanging. The police rushed to the scene, and his body was sent for postmortem. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
