Jamshedpur: Former Chief Minister Raghubar Das visited the Shri Shri Sheetla Mata Temple on the auspicious evening of Saptami during the Chaitra Navratri Jwara Festival. He offered prayers and sought blessings for the welfare and prosperity of the state.
Das paid obeisance before the 23 sacred flames (Jyots) and prayed for peace, harmony, and development across Jharkhand. While addressing the devotees, he emphasized that societal progress depends on teaching culture and civilization to future generations. He noted that religious and social gatherings have always played a crucial role in strengthening communities.
The temple’s Women’s Committee welcomed him warmly and draped a sacred chunari over his shoulders. General Secretary Girdhari Sahu, Convener Parmanand Kaushal, and BJP leader Amarjit Singh Raja also attended the ceremony.
A large crowd of devotees and committee members—including President Dinesh Kumar and many others—joined the event, heightening the devotional fervor of the occasion.
