Jamshedpur man commits suicide

Jamshedpur, May 14: A truck driver, identified as Rakesh Purty (25), committed suicide in Sankosai Garudbasa under Olidih police station area late Friday night, police said.

Sources said Purty was found hanging from the ceiling of his room by his wife Dashmi Purty around 8 pm. Shocked by the incident, Dashmi informed her neighbours about the incident. Purty was taken to MGM Hospital where he was declared  brought dead. He was a native of Sini (Seraikela-Kharsawan). He had come home in an inebriated condition. After some time, he locked himself in a room and committed suicide, Dashmi told police.

Meanwhile, police today recovered the body of a 55 year-old woman from the roadside in Mukhiadanga on the National Highway 33. The deceased was a beggar, cops said.
