Jamshedpur man booked for exploiting woman

Jamshedpur, May 2: Birsanagar police registered an FIR against four persons in connection with the alleged sexual exploitation of a woman.

Police said the prime accused, identified as Gautam Gorai, resident of Road No 1, Sankosai, under Olidih PS, after making false promise to marry the victim, established intimacy with her for around six months. When the girl asked the accused to marry her, he reportedly refused to do so. A Panchayat meeting was also called to settle the issue, but to no avail. The woman alleged that the accused had also assaulted and abused her with the support of his three family members, cops said.
