Jamshedpur, May 2: International Labour Day was celebrated with fervour by Ram Krishna Forgings Kamgaar Sangh on Sunday. A programme was organized at the gate of Ram Krishna Forgings Limited. The union president Abhay Labh hoisted the union flag on this occasion.
Addressing the workers, Labh said many workers had sacrificed their lives for the rights and betterment of their lot. But the mission is still not complete, he said, adding that still many workers were being exploited by various companies.
“Many workers are not getting the minimum daily wages fixed by the government. They are also being deprived of the basic amenities as made mandatory by the government. The main reason behind this dismal situation is the lack of unity among the unorganized workers,” observed Labh.
Union general secretary Tarkeshwar Yadav stressed on the unity of workers. Many union functionaries and company workers were present during the programme.
