Jamshedpur, Aug 30: Sonari police arrested one Roopchand Machhua for allegedly shooting his sister late yesterday evening in Nirmalnagar locality.
Yesterday, Mangali was admitted to Tata Main Hospital by her family members who claimed she was injured in a misfire. Mangali’s kin said she had found a gun from the local dumpyard and was injured when it went off suddenly.
During investigation, police claimed, it was revealed that Mangali was shot at by his brother after a heated argument over dinner. After the incident, Roopchand fled the scene.
Police have reportedly recovered the gun.
