Jamshedpur, July 7: Budheshwar Lohar (50), a resident of Seraikela, convicted in the case of shooting dead BJP leader Atmaram Mukhi, a resident of Noradih in Seraikela-Kharsawan district, died at MGM Hospital on Friday. He died during treatment. He was undergoing treatment in ICU.
Buddheshwar Lohar is lodged in Ghaghidih Jail since 2007. He was sentenced to life imprisonment seven months ago. His health deteriorated in jail on Thursday. After this he was admitted to MGM Hospital. He died while undergoing treatment here. In 2007, Budheshwar Lohar, a resident of Noradih, shot and killed Atmaram Mukhi, a BJP leader, along with Rahul Soren.
On the day of the incident, he reached the BJP leader’s house at 5 am and shot him. It was only after the incident that the police arrested Buddheshwar Lohar and sent him to jail. He was lodged in Ghaghidih jail for 16 years.
