Jamshedpur: Kin of lightning victim get compensation

Jamshedpur, May 16: The next of kin of late Dharmavir Kumar, a Mango resident, who died of electrocution during lightning on Sunday last, were given a compensation of Rs 4 lakh.

Kumar’s wife Pushpa Devi was given a cheque by the house owner Akshay Kumar. She was also given an ex gratia of Rs 30,000.

Dharmavir Kumar was going to install an AC in the house of one Akshay Kumar Agrawal behind Loyola School when it started raining. Dharmavir and his aides were taking the installation equipments to Agrawal’s terrace when lightning struck him. He died at the scene. He was taken to MGMCH where he was declared brought dead.
