Jamshedpur, May 24: Jamshedpur kids are learning new skills at the ongoing Sports Summer Camp organised by Tata Steel Sports Department at JRD Tata Sports Complex from May 15 to May 31, 2022.
Around 2000 students who registered for the camp are utilizing their time constructively and learning a lot which they might not otherwise in their school routine.
The camp aims to create awareness about fitness, wellness and instill a healthy lifestyle among the children.
Experienced coaches from Sports Authority of India (SAI), international athletes and former Ranji players are imparting training to the participants.
Around 500 students are taking swimming lessons at JRD Tata Sports Complex.
The Horse Riding School in Circuit House Area is also attracting 75 kids on a daily basis where coach Dushyant is providing riding lessons to kids.
Karate coach L Nageshwar Rao is imparting training on physical fitness, superior mind-body coordination and self-discipline
Around 2000 children in the age group of 6 years to 19 years are participating in various sporting activities across 20 disciplines such as Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Football, Golf, Handball, Horse Riding, Karate, Kabaddi, Roller Skate/Roll Ball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Yoga and Zumba.
