Jamshedpur, March 31: Sitaramdera police station In-charge Bhushan Kumar has been line closed following allegations of negligence in handling an extortion complaint lodged by businessman Ravi Agarwal. The complaint, which was filed a month ago, reportedly went unaddressed, leading to tragic consequences as Ravi Agarwal stands accused of his wife’s murder.
Jyoti Agarwal, the wife of Ravi Agarwal, was fatally shot on NH 33 in the Chandil police station area. The investigation into the murder case has implicated Ravi Agarwal as the prime suspect.
The negligence of the Sitaramdera police station In-charge in investigating Ravi Agarwal’s earlier complaint had come in for criticism from many quarters including Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Purvi Singhbhum Zila Marwari Sammelan (PSZMS). City SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat, tasked with probing the matter, found that no appropriate action had been taken on the complaint, prompting the decision to line close the Sitaramdera PS OC. As investigations continue into both the murder case and the alleged negligence of the police station in-charge, authorities are diligently probing to ensure justice prevails in this incident.
