Jamshedpur Jubilee Park to be closed from February 21

Jamshedpur, Feb 19:  In anticipation of the forthcoming Founder’s Day celebrations, Jubilee Park will undergo a temporary closure for both vehicles and pedestrian movements from February 21, 2025, to March 7, 2025. The closure is attributed to the extensive preparations and arrangements being made within the park premises to ensure a grand and memorable celebration.

During this period, citizens are advised to plan alternative routes and make necessary adjustments to accommodate the closure. Security measures will be in place to regulate access during the preparation phase.

A notification to the effect has been issued by Tata Steel UISL.

People driving to Sonari will have to take the Baug-E-Jamsheed roundabout and turn on the Straight Mile Road to reach their destination.

It may be mentioned here that with preparations on for Founder’s Day celebrations from March 3, Jubilee Park has remained the cynosure of all eyes because of its light decorations through decades. Citizens of Jamshedpur and other places crowd the Park come evening to get lost in ‘Alice’s Wonderland’ of mesmerizing light patterns. But creating these light effects takes time.

The Founder’s Day celebrations promise to be a joyous occasion, and the temporary closure aims to facilitate the necessary arrangements and ensure the safety and success of the festivities.
