Jamshedpur: Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, the district mining task force has been conducting regular raids to curb illegal mining and transportation of minerals.
In a late-night operation on February 18, the district mining office, along with armed police forces, carried out an intensive raid. During the operation, three Hyva trucks were intercepted in the Kowali police station area while illegally transporting sand. The seized vehicles bear registration numbers: JH05DJ – 8720, JH09U – 9110 and OR05AE – 5024.

Upon inspection, the drivers failed to provide valid documents for transporting the mineral. As a result, all three trucks were seized and handed over to Kowali police station for further legal action.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to cracking down on illegal mining activities and have urged transporters to adhere to legal procedures.
