Jamshedpur, August 11: The Jolly Group of Jamshedpur hosted a vibrant Sawan Mahotsav at Hotel Ganga Regency, drawing hundreds of women for a day of festive celebration. The event, a tribute to the monsoon season, featured a variety of engaging activities and competitions.
Participants, all dressed in green sarees with matching makeup, enjoyed a range of entertainment including games, balloon and bangle competitions, a ramp walk, and the traditional “Sawan ke Jhula” (monsoon swing). The atmosphere was charged with energy as women danced to seasonal music, fully embracing the spirit of Sawan.
The highlight of the event was the crowning of Sandhya Chaudhary as the ‘Sawan Queen.” Upon receiving this honor, Chaudhary’
expressed her joy, stating, “I truly feel like a queen. I’m proud and happy to be selected among so many women. We’ve been participating in this Sawan Mahotsav for years without any special preparation.”
Jolly Shukla, the event coordinator, oversaw the successful organization of the festival. She was supported by a team of dedicated women including Vandana Mishra, Preeti, Sobha, Pramila Singh, and others who contributed significantly to the event’s success.
