Jamshedpur, August 10: The primary wing of D.B.M.S. Kadma High School was alive with sparkle and effervescence as it hosted its Annual Function ‘REJOICE’ today. The event, centred around the United Nations’ declared ‘International Year of Camelids,’ brought together students from eight schools in a celebration of culture, creativity, and camaraderie.
The program featured dazzling dances inspired by desert regions, beautifully showcasing the theme. Off-stage events challenged students’ artistic skills, with team projects creating oasis displays and individual camel crafts as takeaways.
Principal Gurpreet Bhambra, Vice Principal (Junior School) S. Shireen, and Coordinator (Junior School) Malini Ashok, along with the primary teachers, oversaw the well-organized function. The non-competitive nature of the event emphasized its main goal: promoting friendship and fellowship among students.
Exquisite decorations transformed the venue, drawing admiration from the audience, who enthusiastically cheered on the young participants. In her address, Principal Bhambra commended both teachers and students for their unwavering spirit and enthusiastic participation.
Notable attendees included managing committee members Anita Ramkrishna (Secretary) and Aruna Ravi (Joint Treasurer), as well as Vice Principal (Senior School) Suparna Roy and Coordinator (Senior School) Benazir Gulshan. Teachers and students from participating schools also joined the celebration.
